The Chinese motorcycle company again caused a stir. This time it came from Moxiao, who released a new motorsport called the 500 RR. The uproar in the news was not because of a global product, but it appeared to be similar to the Ducati Panigale V4. From the picture that is very clear, this bike is borrowed some styles from the famous supersport from Italy.

Luckily the plagiarism unit was only circulating in China. Because if it spreads to several countries, many people think it is Panigale V4. From a long distance, it is difficult for many people to distinguish between the MoXiao 500 RR and motorsport products from Italy. However, if you look at it in more detail and listen to the sound from the exhaust, it is very different. Apart from that, of course, it cannot be equated to the engine sector.

For starters, the overall style of the Moxiao 500 RR is truly impressive. It can imitate Ducati’s aggressive line. The front-to-rear body design is identical to the Panigale V4. The headlamp is pointing downward, the front suspension is upside-down with a large diameter, the side fairing with the exhaust is slightly protruding, the seats are separated so that the single-arm is really similar.

The choice of solid red color combination has also succeeded in making itself similar to the motorbike produced at Borgo Panigale, Bologna, Italy. Including the selection of letters in the fairing. This company is very brave to write the brand and model on it. The totality of plagiarism work.

To give the same proportion, this knockoff Ducati comes with fat tires consisting of 120 and 190 on the front and rear. Turning to the engine, we will find a runway that is somewhat commonly used on motorcycles made in China. The Moxiao 500 RR uses a 471 cc parallel-twin engine that closely resembles Honda’s 471 cc engine found on the CBR500R, CB500X, and Rebel 500.

The engine can deliver a power of 47 horsepower and can accelerate from rest to a speed of 100 kilometers per hour in less than 7 seconds. The top speed of the Moxiao 500RR is 160 kph and it is definitely nothing with the Ducati Panigale V4 which is at 280 kph. Uniquely, Moxiao actually calls the advantages of this sports motorbike not only in its engine capability but also its high fuel efficiency. For 1 liter, this motorsport is claimed to be able to cover a distance of 22 kilometers. Not bad, but not very good either.

To take a note, the Panigale V4 is not only fast but also has high performance from various sides. The heart of this is a 1,103 cc liquid-cooled, L-twin cylinder that produces 214 hp and 124 Nm of torque. The advantages in terms of performance are supported by net weight of around 172 kg. Excellent control thanks to the use of Ohlins suspension, and escorted by Brembo’s disc brakes. Most important of all, it’s easy to control this bike.

To ensure security, powerful features are embedded. Ducati has embedded Bosch Cornering ABS EVO, Ducati Traction Control (DTC) EVO, Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC) EVO, Ducati Slide Control (DCS), Engine Brake Control (EBC) EVO, as well as Riding Modes, Power Modes, and Auto Tire Calibration.
