As reported by Tutto Motori Web, Tuesday, May 11, 2021, Valetino Rossi’s VR46 team will certainly take part in MotoGP in 2022. The Doctor; The nickname Rossi is also said to have determined the factory team that will be covered by the VR46 Team next season.
The announcement has the potential to occur in this weekend’s race which will be held at the Le Mans Circuit, France. If not, the Rossi racing team has the potential to announce it at the Mugello Circuit in the 2021 Italian MotoGP race which will take place on May 30, 2021.
Reportedly, the VR46 Team’s choice of Ducati was because they wanted to have clear ideas. Ducati itself has managed to show its competitiveness from season to season, including at the 2021 MotoGP title.
Ducati is not only shining with its two factory team riders in MotoGP 2021. However, two riders from the satellite Pramac Ducati team, namely Johann Zarco and Jorge Martin, can also do much by winning a number of podiums.
This condition might make VR46 even more convincing to anchor to Ducati. Previously, VR46 itself was linked with a number of teams in MotoGP. Apart from Ducati, there are Yamaha, Suzuki, and Aprilia who are reportedly eyeing cooperation with VR46.
Director of Sports, Ducati Corse, Paolo Ciabatti, had revealed that there were talks with other teams to join them as their satellite in MotoGP 2022. He was optimistic at that time to have two satellite teams in MotoGP again.
“We are negotiating and further evaluating the possibilities for a second satellite team. But at this time, we cannot announce any news in this context,”
said Ciabatti.
