Ferrari 812 Superfast, Berlinetta V12 model front engine will be retired soon. Before it went down in history, Ferrari reinvented the hardcore variant of this gran turismo that was believed to carry the name 812 Competizione. This new variant is called carrying the most ferocious combustion engine ever produced by the manufacturer bearing the Prancing Horse logo. Complete information has not been fully disclosed by the manufacturer.

Ferrari calls this 812 variant the ultimate expression of Ferrari’s concept of an extreme front engine berlinetta. Starting from the engine, chassis, visuals, to aerodynamics, Ferrari overhauled to confirm its status as the widest supercar ever to leave the Maranello factory. Only LaFerrari and SF90 Stradale were able to outperform the 812 Competizione’s performance. However, it should be noted that both hypercars are hybrids.
The main menu of this car is a naturally aspirated 6.5 liter V12 engine mounted on the front. The output was increased from 790 hp to 821 hp. When compared to the Lamborghini Sian FKP 37, the numbers are even slightly superior than Lamborghini Sian FKP 37, which carries the V12 hybrid and is Lamborghini’s fastest car today. The Prancing Horse said the engine performance improvements thanks to a redesign of many engine components, including the valve-timing mechanism and a new exhaust system.

The highest engine speed limit is also made higher, which has increased from the previous limit of 8,900 rpm to 9,500 rpm. Potentially producing a more screeching sound, this V12 is also claimed to be the production car engine with the highest rotation among any road V12 engines ever. There is no detailed information yet, but Ferrari promises to accelerate the 812 Competizione from 0 to 100 km / h in just 2.5 seconds.
Keeping up with the pure but brutal engine performance, the 812’s modification from Superfast to Competizione also includes chassis dynamics. To optimize handling, Ferrari adopts an independent steering mechanism on all four wheels, with the aim of increasing agility and precision when cornering. At the same time, this system also provides very responsive steering.

Chassis and body construction are increasingly applying carbon fiber material. Hence the lighter weight, which is 1,630 kg. Ferrari did not say how much the weight was cut. The new aerodynamic package comes via the front bumper, splitter, diffuser and rear windshield which is replaced by aluminum louvre panels. This rear glass replacement functions as a vortex generator, one of the components to produce maximum downforce.
The angle and dimensions of the rear wing were also increased to compensate for the amount of downforce generated by the new diffuser. Meanwhile, on the front hood, a new carbon fiber body panel is now installed, to allow air to flow according to performance requirements, which has been in development since the era of the F12 Berlinetta.

It looks like Ferrari will only be offering the 812 Competizione in a limited unit allocation. Because this car is called a special edition aimed at the most passionate Ferrari connoisseur and collector. Before the 812 Competizione was born, Ferrari had already presented two alternative variants of the 812. The first was the convertible version via the 812 GTS and the Ferrari Omologata was followed as a very limited edition alias one-off. Ferrari will release complete information and details on 5 May.
