Misano, San Marino: Monster Energy Yamaha rider; Maverick Vinales, managed to win when he played the 2020 Emilia Romagna MotoGP at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli. Responding to this good result, Vinales explained that choosing the right tire is the key.

Throughout the 2020 MotoGP World Championship, Vinales actually almost always looked impressive when carrying out the free practice and qualifying sessions. The rider nicknamed The Top Gun quite often starts from the front row when racing.

However, it must be unfortunate because, during the race, Vinales’ position often sagged, and was thrown from the top three. That’s what happened in the previous series at the 2020 San Marino MotoGP at the World Circuit Marco Simoncelli.

In the qualifying session at the race, Vinales managed to be the fastest rider. However, when the race took place, its position slipped until finally, The Top Gun could only finish in sixth place.

Vinales explained that he had chosen the wrong tire for the race. Therefore, he could not maintain his position on the front ranks. Vinales admitted that the mistake in choosing this tire has become a problem that often comes to him.

Even so, different things happened in the 2020 Emilia Romagna MotoGP. In this race, the 25-year-old racer chose medium type tires for the front and rear. The result was satisfactory because Vinales was able to maintain his position at the front ranks until he became the winner.

“Now I just think that I am confident and understand my potential. I showed my team that we can’t give up. In this race we made at least the same tire decisions as to the others, “said Vinales, from Speedweek, Monday (21/9/2020).

“We have a big meeting, they all understand it. I was able to manage a very good time in the first sector in the race this time and put extreme pressure, “continued The Top Gun.

“People at home also know what problems I have had this year. I can’t wait to go home now and celebrate with the people, “concluded Vinales.

An additional 25 points made Vinales to third place in the standings. Vinales collected 83 points the same as Fabio Quartararo who is in second place. They are only one point behind Andrea Dovizioso who is at the top of the standings.
