There are rumors that Yamaha will release a new 3-wheel scooter based on Yamaha XMax in November 2019. In the EICMA 2018, Yamaha Europe showed off their 3-wheel concept scooter called Yamaha 3CT. Quoting from Motociclismo.it, this motorbike uses Yamaha XMax as its base.
Reportedly, Yamaha 3CT will have a mass-production version and released in the same event, EICMA 2019, next November.
The news is not without reason. Because some time ago the manufacturer bearing the tuning fork has patented the design of the Yamaha 3CT in Europe. The appearance is slightly different from the concept and is allegedly a mass-production version.
Based on these images it appears that the new Yamaha 3-wheel scooter has the same windshield design as the Yamaha Xmax. In addition, the rear body and CVT also look similar to the base.
The striking difference is certainly in the front because there is a pair of wheels and 2 pairs of telescopic suspension. Yamaha also pinned a new LED headlight design with the separate turn signal.
Because it is based on Yamaha XMax Europe, Yamaha 3CT will carry a 292 cc liquid-cooled 1-cylinder engine. The runway kitchen is capable of producing power of 27.6 hp with a maximum torque of 29 Nm.
