After practicing using the mini moto some time ago, Marc Marquez began training again using a motorbike at the Catalunya Circuit, Spain. In the video he uploaded on Twitter, Marc was seen riding a motorcycle from the paddock area. Unfortunately, it was explained how many times he circled the circuit including his time records. “Test day at Montmelo with the RC213V-S! #Step by step,” wrote Marc on his official Twitter account.

Marc did not use the Honda RC213V but instead used the RC213V-S. The closest mass production motorbike to a MotoGP-spec motorbike. The exercise, which was carried out on Tuesday (16/3/2021) local time, was also an affirmation to show that Marc’s condition had improved.

Nothing wrong with this training then reinforces the notion that Marc is ready to take part in the MotoGP 2021 opening series at the Losail Qatar Circuit, 28 March. Moreover, his name is also already in the ranks of the riders who will participate in the inaugural MotoGP series in 2021. If he is still absent, Honda

has prepared Stefan Bradl as a replacement.

The Manager of the Repsol Honda Team, Alberto Puig, said that he could not confirm whether Marc Marquez would participate in the opening series of the Qatar MotoGP in 2021 or not. Puig said, one thing for sure is that Marc’s current condition has improved. But when exactly Marc will return to ride the Honda RC231V does not know.

“It is a very difficult winter, especially Marc. Now we are looking at the possibility that he will return to the race, although we cannot say when that will happen,”

Puig said, quoting Motorsport-Total.com.
