Rio Hondo, Argentina: Yamaha Movistar Team boss, Lin Jarvis, admits to furious with the action of Repsol Honda rider Marc Marquez, who has dropped his flagship rider, Valentino Rossi in the second race of 2018 MotoGP series which took place at the Circuit Termas de Rio Hondo, Argentina , Monday, April 8, 2018 local time. The reason, due to the accident, Rossi was only able to finish in 19th place with a total record of time 41 minutes 28.424 seconds.
Rossi did start the race from a position that is not too good, which is 11 from the starting grid. However, he quickly rode his iron horse to make it past several other racers.
Unfortunately for Rossi, when he entered the lap of the 21st. He had to fall because of being knocked by Marquez while in the corner. As a result, Rossi was struggling to wake up his bike in order to continue the remaining laps.
Although Rossi managed to finish, the Italian rider did not earn any single point in the 2018 MotoGP Argentina series. Now, Rossi must fall in the eighth position of 2018 MotoGP standings by collecting 16 points.
No doubt, Jarvis was admitted upset over what has been done Marquez to Rossi. He claimed to suffer losses because his flagship driver did not get any points at all in the Argentine series. He also hopes the MotoGP give sanction to Marquez for doing that unpleasant action.
“We’ve gone to the responsible party to clarify our fate. Valentino (Rossi) also came with us to express what he felt directly. Now we are just waiting for the decision of the MotoGP and FIM (Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme), “said Jarvis, quoting from Autosport.
“They have to decide if they can do anything more because they have given him (Marquez) a 30-second penalty in the race,” he continued.
Actually, not only Rossi who became the victims of the reckless actions of the Marquez. Previously, Marquez also performed the same deeds to the Aprilia Gresini team rider, Aleix Espargaro. However, Espargaro didn’t fall because of he still able to control his motorbike.
