Melbourne, Australia: The Mercedes driver, Lewis Hamilton, still does not believe in winning the 2011 Formula One (F1) premiere held at Melbourne’s Albert Park Circuit on Sunday, March 25, 2018, afternoon. His unbelief came when his main rival Sebastian Vettel was able to precede him on lap-26.

Hamilton, who led the race from the start, made the wrong decision by deciding to enter the pit stop on lap 20. More unlucky again, Vettel emerged from the pit lane on lap 26 when the racers are in slow condition due to the safety car warning.

As a result, Vettel who since the start was in the third position, immediately skyrocketed two positions to the top position until the end of the race. Although the defending champion has put pressure on Vettel to restore the starting position, unluckily his efforts in vain.

The Ferrari racer finally came out to be the first followed by Hamilton who took five seconds behind Vettel. While the third position was achieved by Kimi Raikkonen who is also a Ferrari Team racer.

“I still do not understand what happened. I’ve done everything I should have done, “said Hamilton, quoting from Crash.

“Safety car out and then I slowed down. Suddenly at the last minute, I was told that Ferrari was out (from the pit stop). I do not know Ferrari is in the pit stop, “added the racer nicknamed The Boss.

“I think (I feel) really do not believe from that moment to the end. I just do not believe it. I’m trying to recover from any scenario, whether it’s an error or not. I could have taken the risk, but I could lose all points, “he added.

“Finally I think I made a sensible choice. It’s very long in the championship and not all of them win in one race. That’s what I’m trying to focus on, “continued the 33-year-old racer.

Kemenagan Vettel is like a repeat last season, where he won the first podium in the first series. In the Australian F1 race 2017, the German racer started from the second place, while Hamilton won the pole position.
