Bologna, Italy: Ducati Corse Team rider, Andrea Dovizioso, is undoubtedly one of the mainstay riders of the Italian manufacturer’s team. However, until now the racer nicknamed The Little Dragon has not signed a contract extension yet with Ducati. The reason, because he wanted more appreciated by Ducati by asking for a raise.

After winning the 2018 MotoGP opener series which took place at the Losail Circuit, Qatar, Dovizioso indirectly proves to everyone that he is now at the peak of his career. Moreover, in 2017 MotoGP, he was at the top of the podium in six races of the season. The achievement is his best achievement for 10 years in navigating the world of MotoGP racing, from 2008-2017.

With these achievements, now the name of Dovizioso back into the center of attention and mentioned to be one of the champions of MotoGP this season with Repsol Honda Team racer, Marc Marquez.

Not only The Little Dragon alone who has not renewed the contract but his teammate, Jorge Lorenzo was also not signed a new contract with Ducati. However, Lorenzo has an excellent contract with Ducati, he is paid 12 million euros per year. On the other hand, Dovizioso is much smaller with a salary of about 1.5 million euros per year plus bonuses. This is what is suspected to be the reason Dovizioso has not extended his contract yet.

With the result that Dovizioso showed last season and in the 2018 MotoGP premier series, he now asks for a salary adjustment if Ducati wants Dovizioso to continue working together with them. Ducati party does not remain silent, as what was proclaimed Tuttomotoriweb, the Italian manufacturer team has prepared a renewal of 6 million per year for Dovizioso.

Meanwhile, if Lorenzo accepts his contract renewal with Ducati, the Spaniard must receive his salary will be deducted from what he received before. Of course, this news is a dilemma for both of fans, it seems a bit difficult to refuse if one of the racers is not in Ducati anymore.
